| The DryGuy patents and technologies were born of hands-on
experience. In 1994 our founder, Joel Beckett, set out to solve the problem
of cold feet and hands that had plagued him throughout a lifetime of skiing.
By applying lessons learned from 20 years in the aerospace industry, Joel
discovered new ways to keep active people warm.
Today DryGuy is the country’s leading supplier of boot and glove
dryers. Our products are designed so that you can keep your garments working
at the optimum level of warmth. And since most equipment isn’t up
to the task of insulating you against cold and wet, DryGuy now offers
external layering systems that increase the warmth of your existing boots
and gloves. Bootglove and Overglove external insulation systems keep heat
from leaving the body and ensure you that toasty feeling in the worst
of weather.
Throughout the development of the DryGuy product line, our technology
has been motivated by three irrefutable facts.
1. Hands and feet sweat profusely.
2. Cold is caused by the loss of heat.
3. Dry insulation conserves body-heat 25 times better than damp insulation.
These facts continue to influence everything we do at DryGuy. We run
ongoing research and development programs from our facilities in Mercer
Island and Crystal Mountain, Washington. We test our products in the wettest
conditions so that we can provide you with the highest quality products.
